The University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) is committed to creating a safe educational environment for everyone in the University community. The University does not tolerate hazing and expects all students, faculty, staff, and anyone associated with the University to comply with all state laws and University policies associated with hazing.

University Policy
Any allegations of hazing that occurs on or off campus will be administered through the University of Nebraska Student Code of Conduct.
Annual Security Report
Annual statistics regarding hazing are available through the University's Annual Campus Security and Fire Safety Report (Annual Security Report), which is updated annually and includes campus safety and security policies and procedures along with crime statistics for the University for the last three years as outlined by the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act. Information from the Campus Hazing Transparency Report and Hazing Prevention Education will be included in the Annual Security Report in accordance with the Stop Campus Hazing Act beginning in the 2026 edition of the report.
Hazing incidents included in the Annual Security Report follow the federal definition of hazing, which is outlined in Section 485(f)(6)(A) of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 1092(f)(6)(A)). Please note that the outcomes of disciplinary actions related to hazing cases are not reflected in the Annual Security Report.
Campus Hazing Transparency Report
The Campus Hazing Transparency Report summarizes findings concerning student organizations that are recognized by the University and are found in violation of the University’s Standards of Responsible Conduct related to hazing. The goal of the Campus Hazing Transparency Report is to collect information regarding hazing incidents and provide the information to the public. If information that would normally be included in the Campus Hazing Transparency Report would reveal personally identifiable information about an individual, the information will be excluded in compliance with the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act.
In accordance with the Stop Campus Hazing Act, information on the Campus Hazing Transparency Report will be updated at least twice annually and include information for five (5) years from the date information is initially posted on the Report.

During multiple events during the semester, new members were provided alcohol at chapter events and parties. |

| Description of the Incident | During the fall semester, new members were required to do lineups, which involved completing calisthenics while consuming alcohol, and completing a timed 2-mile run. New members were instructed to complete cleaning duties even though they did not live in the facility. Prior restrictions for the organization prohibited alcohol from being present at any event and at least one party occurred in the Spring 2026 semester in the chapter house. |
